Pressure Seal valves are used primarily, but not limited to, power generation plants with fossil, coal, thermal, gas, nuclear or steam stations, etc. Pressure seal valves excel in the following conditions: high pressure, high temperature, steam, oxidizing environments. Non-cobalt based hard facing is also available. Gate valves can be equipped with flexible wedge or parallel slide disc. One of the most important features of WALWORTH® Pressure Seal Cast Steel Valves is the ability to use the line pressure to assist in the seal of the valve with a preloaded metallic or graphite pressure seal gasket placed between body and bonnet which reduces weight for easy installation and maintenance.
Pressure Seal Gate ValvesThe Gate Valve is used when the need exist for a device that allows an interruption or cut off the flow of a fluid. Is not recommendable to use Gate Valves for flow modulation as the high velocity of the through may result in erosive damage to the wedge and seats when the valve is partially opened. Under normal operating conditions, the valve should remain either fully open or fully closed. Installation of a Gate Valve is independent of the flow direction.
Pressure Seal Globe ValvesThe Globe Valves are primarily used to modulate or regulate the volume of the flow. A Globe Valve is not recommended when a continuous full flow of fluid is required due to the high pressure drop inherent to the design of a Globe Valve. This type of valve should always be installed so the flow intake enters through the base of the valve seat. The valve has an arrow stamped on the body to indicate the preferred direction on flow. Globe Valves may be used with fluids containing particles in suspension.
Pressure Seal "Y" Globe Pattern ValvesThe "Y" Pattern Globe Valves are primarily used to modulate or regulate the volume of the flow when a minor flow is required. A "Y" Pattern Globe Valve is recommended when a continuous full flow of fluid is required due to the highest CV against a "T" Pattern Globe valve. Also suitable to solve some troubles in the field when space limit the usage of standard "T" Pattern Globe valve. This type of valve should always be installed so the flow intake enters through the base of the valve seat. The valve has an arrow stamped on the body to indicatethe preferred direction on flow. Globe Valves may be used with fluids containing particles in suspension.
Pressure Seal Tilting Disc Check ValvesDesigned to close quickly and quitely. It minimize damage due slamming or noise due vibration caused due high velocity reverse flow before completion of closing. Design also suitable for low pressure drop.
Pressure Seal Swing Check ValvesCheck valves are generally used to protect pumps or similar equipment, allowing the flow only in one direction and preventing flow reversal due to back pressure. The pressure seal swing check valves are designed to close quickly and quitely and to produce a low pressure drop in the pipeline.
Pressure Seal Lift Check ValvesPressure seal lift check valves are designed to close quickly and quitely. These valves minimize slamming damage and vibration noise caused by high velocity reverse flow before completion of closing.
